Subject: Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played 'Black Panther' dies at 43
Written By: Yestalgic on 08/28/20 at 10:51 pm
His cause of death was colon cancer.
He was too young. So sad to see him die. I liked him as Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War. 😭😭😭
You may rest in peace, Chad.

This year just does not stop. Black Panther was one of my favorite movies of 2018.

Was there a Black Panther II in the works? ???
From wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Panther_(film)#Sequel
"With the release of Black Panther, Feige said "there are many, many stories to tell" about the character, and that he wanted Coogler to return for any potential sequel. Coogler added that he wanted to see how T'Challa would grow as a king in future films, since his reign only began recently in the MCU, while in the comics, he has been king since childhood. In March 2018, Feige added there was "nothing specific to reveal" in terms of a sequel, but that there "absolutely" were "ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one". By October 2018, Coogler had completed a deal to write and direct a sequel to Black Panther. On November 1, 2018, Coogler said that, while he was feeling pressure while developing the sequel due to Black Panther's success, he would "focus on trying to make something that has some type of meaning" for the film. On June 30, 2019, producer Kevin Feige confirmed that work on the script had begun. Wright, Gurira, and Freeman will reprise their roles in the film. In July 2019, Feige confirmed the film is currently in development. The film is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2022."
The key of it all, it appears that filming had not started yet.

This is a big blow to the next MCU phase, without Iron Man, Black Panther would be the most essential leader of Marvel
