Music mogul André Harrell, who started out as an MC in 1981 with a minor hit, “Genius Rap” (as part of the rap duo Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde), but moved on to management, discovering Puff Daddy and Mary K. Blige, has passed away at the age of 59 from undisclosed causes. :\'(

Dude brought in a whole new genre to the music scene, and eventually he went in to head the storied Motown Records franchise. 8)
