Subject: Rooster Fleming Hangs up His Cleats

Legendary CFL footballer Dave “Rooster” Fleming, known almost as well for his off-the-field fights as for his ten years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, has passed away at the age of 77. :\'(

In a storied career, perhaps Rooster’s most recounted caper was when in the early 1980’s, he and some buddies made the unwise decision to pick a backstage fight with hall of fame wrestler and Picksburgh legend Bruno Sammartino. :o Sammartino was greatly outnumbered, and fellow wrestler The Iron Sheik joined in the fray, wearing only a towel. As Bruno and The Sheik later recounted, “we proceeded to clean house with those guys”. ;D
