Noted Cleveland philanthropist Barbara Mandell has passed away at the age of 98, about a month after her husband Morton did. :\'(

Barbara served as the president of the Cleveland Section of the National Council of Jewish Women, among many other roles. 8)

Indeed. The singer is considerably younger than the philanthropist, and in good health.

I thought the very same thing, not to be confused with the country singer who's very much alive and well, Never heard of this Barbara Mandrell.

She and her family were big philanthropists in nearby Cleveland.

I thought so too. Only difference being one specific letter! For the record, I had not heard of Ms. Mandell until now.

That's right. The singer will turn 71 on Christmas Day.
