Breaking news: Sid Haig -- the cult exploitation and horror actor best known for such credits as Foxy Brown, Jackie Brown, Coffy, and Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects and the recently-released 3 from Hell -- has died, just mere weeks after being rushed to ICU after choking on vomit in his sleep. He had been in poor health of late, even before the ICU stay. He was so frail that Rob Zombie had to dramatically cut his role in the latest Firefly Family sequel. Captain Spaulding was reduced to a mere cameo, sitting in a chair in prison.
He also appeared on such 1960s series as Batman.
