Legendary session guitarist Jimmy Johnson, member of the Muscle Shoals “Swampers” backup crew, has passed away at the age of 76. :\'(

Jimmy is not to be confused with either Jimmy Johnson the stock car racer, or the Jimmy Johnson who is famous for his endorsement ads for ExtenZe male enhancement products.

Got me to read it. Thankfully not to be confused with Jimmy Johnson the famous bass guitarist who did a lot of work with James Taylor. And was the pioneer who worked with string manufacturers to create the 5 string bass as we know it.
