From the article, “Highly regarded, both on and off the field, Bobby played more games for the Reds in their league days than any other player.
In total, he made 419 Football League games (plus a further two as a substitute) as well as turning out in 26 League Cup ties (two of which were quarter-finals), 25 FA Cup ties and a further 24 of a non-competitive nature.”
They don't make many players like Bobby these days.

Yeah I should probably have been more specific as to which footballer. There are several footballers in the British Isles, still living, named Bobby Brown:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Brown_(footballer,_born_1923) (Scottish)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Brown_(footballer,_born_1955) (Scottish)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Brown_(footballer,_born_1953) (English)
The recently deceased is none of these... he was born in 1931.

That is amazing.
Then, of course, we have an American musician with that name, still living...

So sad as it is.
The Bobby Brown is question for this obit topic is the father of this footballer Bobby Brown.
It is worth mentioning that the correct name of the football team is Workington Football Club, and the mentioned 'reds' is the club nickname, i.e. Manchester United's nickname is "The Red Devils".
