Celebrated playwright William F. Brown has left the Land of Oz at the age of 91. :\'(

Brown is the guy who adapted The Wizard of Oz into the stage play, The Wiz. 8). Later a film adaptation of The Whiz was done in 1978, starring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross.
Brown's also write for David Frost's That Was the Week That Was, The Ed Sullivan Show, The Johnny Carson Show, The Jackie Gleason Show, The Merv Griffin Show, The Dean Martin Show and Love American Style. Dude got around.
