Legendary British stand up comedian Ian Cognito has passed away, on stage, at the age of 60. :\'(

Apparently earlier in his act he was joking about dying on stage. So when he collapsed, people thought it was part of the act.
This is very similar to the death of Redd Foxx on set way back when. He was famous for his schtick as Fred Sanford, who would feign a heart attack, clutching his chest and exclaiming “Weezy, I’m coming to join you!”... so when he collapsed on set, he too was laughed at, as his fellow workers thought it was an act.
