Frank “Franky Boy” Cali, top boss of the storied Gambino Crime Family, has been gunned down in front of his Staten Island home.

Unlike prior Gambino boss John Gotti, Franky kept a low profile and tried to stay out of the media, much like prior boss Frank Castellano. However, Cali ended up with the same fate as Castellano - whacked. :-X
Presently there’s no word on who ordered this hit, but there are rumblings that perhaps the Bonanno Crime Family was in on it.
It is time to go to the mattresses once again in NYC.

Other news accounts report that after Franky was shot, his assailants then ran him over with their car. Man, they must have really wanted to send a message to somebody. :-\\

Later reports now indicate that Franky was lured out of his bouse by somebody who backed their blue pickup truck into his SUV. Franky went out to see what was up, and got shot.
The Boss must have been slipping. There was a time when he would have been more cautious and not fallen for that sort of ruse.
Mafioso are incensed over his murder because it violates a key rule. One is not to be assassinated at his home, out of respect for his family members. The way this hit was conducted is a big no-no. >:(
Apparently Franky was bringing in soldiers from Sicily because American prospects for La Cosa Nostra soldiers are apparently slim pickings these days, not willing to live by the old school rules such as Omerta. One news story speculated that if by this murder, somebody is looking to eliminate the Sicilians from the Gambino operations, there’s going to be heck to pay.

The cops are working on a possibility that former boss John Gotti’s brother Gene Gotti, may be making a play to take over the family. Gene was released from prison back in September after serving 29 years for heroin dealing, and may feel that he is owed a high rank in the family.

Word is that the cops think that the murder “was not mob related”.
What a crock, smebidy is being paid off. The shooter pumped 10 loads i to Franky after the “car accident” ruse.
You can bet your last dollar that this was a mob hit.
