Accomplished jazz saxophonist George Benson has passed away in this late report; seems he passed away a few days ago. :\'(

Dude was big in the jazz world, but he also played with The Temptations on occasion. His Wikipedia page lists his discography.

At first I thought it was the guy who covered "On Broadway" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Benson), whose music also contains jazz. But that's not the case. Different guy.

I saw the “other” George Benson in concert back in ‘77. Great performer!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, I got scared for a second there, thank god the other George Benson is still with us and still doing tours at age 75, he will be 76 next week. :)

Glad he's in good health.
I wish there was some way to differentiate these guys; say, if they had different middle names. But neither one does, according to Wiki. However, the guy who just passed on used "Sax" as a pseudo-middle name, which helps.
