This is really really really sad news. :( I was shocked and stunned when I read about his parting.

Wow, this truly came out of nowhere and is utterly tragic. I had no idea Avicii’s life was so difficult. It definitely makes “Wake Me Up” a lot sadder in hindsight. Rest in peace.

This is honestly very shocking. I was actually close to crying a little bit when I found out. R.I.P Avicii. I'll never forget the great music that he made. :\'(

He was so current that this all feels out of the blue and unexpected. It's like if Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran or (dare I say) Britney suddenly died. I'm still in disbelief. :o

This is probably the first artist from my teenage years I've seen pass away, this feels very strange. When I was 14, I absolutely loved Wake Me Up, it was one of my favorite songs at the time. I listened to his music yesterday after hearing about the news, listening to artists' music after they die feels like one of the best ways to mourn them.

He has had a very extensive chart history in the UK in total his music has had 156 in the top 40 chart http://www.officialcharts.com/artist/7203/avicii/ , I don't think his death will mark the waning of a cultural era like Kurt Cobain or 2 PACs death did with grunge and gangsta rap, but he was the poster boy though for EDM no doubt RIP
