Subject: Jerry Van Dyke Passes Away

Legendary comedic actor Jerry Van Dyke, younger brother of Dick Van Dyke, has passed away at the age of 86.

He is probably best known for his starring role in My Mother the Car, a role that he took instead of taking the role of Gilligan on Gilligan's Island. In another case of misfortune, Jerry turned down the role of Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show. ;D
He was predeceased by his daughter Kelly Van Dyke, who was also in the acting biz, back in 1991.

That's right, he did!! Along with 1960s singer Shelley Fabares (who has mainly focused on acting during the past 50+ years).
