Subject: Gomer Pyle Has Left The Marines

Jim Nabors, the man who put a smile on everyone's face as Gomer Pyle in "Gomer Pyle, USMC" and "The Andy Griffith Show", has passed away at the age of 87. Nabors didn't do too much acting after Gomer, but he a fan favorite at Indianapolis, where he sang, " Back Home Again In Indiana" at the 500 until 2014. An iconic legendary comic actor who will be sorely missed.

I never knew he was gay but RIP Jim Nabors. :\'(

Without Jim's Gomer, you wouldn't have Full Metal Jacket's "Gomer." I never knew Jim was gay, more power to him; I would always assume that all Mayberry residents are conservative. Wow, learn something new every day.
