Iconic character actor Chuck Low, perhaps best known for his portrayal of wig salesman and mob associate Morrie Kessler in Goodfellas, has passed away.
The role of Morrie was based on real life wig huckster Martin Krugman. Martin was the mastermind of the awesome 1978 Lufthansa Heist, and was rubbed out in 1979 because he had the audacity to ask for his share of the loot.
This is the second recent death of a Goodfellas actor, with Frank “Billy Batts” Vincent passing a few weeks ago. :-\\
Here is a shot from Goodfellas where Jimmy Conaway (in real life it was Jimmy "The Gent" Burke) was collecting a debt owed to him by Morrie.
