You folks do realize, she'll probably have the most laugh-interrupted funeral in history, especially if Dick Van Dyke eulogizes her. But like Chuckles The Clown in that famous MTMs episode, she'd want it that way.
What troubles me is that either tomorrow or next week at this time, Variety, People, or Entertainment Weekly will have fired someone who put Mary on the cover with the headline, "She didn't make it after all". RIP, MTM. Thanks for the laughs!

She was in a WONDERFUL (yet very sad) movie called 6 Weeks with Dudley Moore. (The book was even better than the movie.) I do recommend it but be sure to have plenty of tissues on hand because it is a tearjerker.

I first remembered her from "The Hogan Family" in the 80's. The show was originally called "Valerie"(1986-1987) and than "Valerie's Family"(1987-1988.) I just read on Wikipedia how controversial it was at the time it was because she fired from the show because of issues with pay per episode, and the focus of the show was becoming more focused on Jason Bateman's character(David Hogan.) She was replaced with actress Sandy Duncan who played the live-in Aunt on the show and stepped in as Valerie Harper's character was written out of the show because of a car crash death storyline.
