Pete Burns, the lead vocalist of 80s UK band Dead Or Alive, best known for "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" and "Brand New Lover", has reportedly passed away from cardiac arrest. He was 57. :\'(

Well I guess that eliminates the uncertainty.
Those guys rocked big time. "Right Round" was as classic 80's as you can get. 8)

He was in his late 50s? Man, that seems a bit young for a rock star. May he rest in peace.

I thought back in the 80's he was a very attractive gay man till he kept changing his looks and wondered why he stayed the way he looked. R.I.P Pete Burns :\'(

The best Dead or Alive songs were the ones that didn't make the North American Top 40. I have their first 5 albums on cassette (4 technically as the 1987 release Rip it up was a compilation mega mix of songs from their 2nd and 3rd albums) and my favourite song of theirs is and will always be My heart goes bang (get me to the doctor)

I was momentarily shocked when I read the news. Obviously he's still relatively young.
But I'm not sure he's really someone I think about any more. I can't recall music he's done recently. He's just been on some reality tv shows looking weird and disturbing my lovely memories of him.
