This is my mom's favorite movie, we watched it with her a lot growing up, and once recently. This is saddening news, R.I.P. Charmian Carr. :\'(

She was born in December 1942, the film "The Sound Of Music" was released in 1965, so the filming was done in 1964, so she would have been around 22 years old.

Wow I never knew she was that old... :o R.I.P. Liesl, and I agree with Lyricboy I really hoped that they made a sequel focusing on the von trapp grandkids. :o That would have been interesting. :D

I won't be surprised if there is an eventual reboot, but can't see them making a sequel, sadly. :(

Oh gosh, I have no clue, for all I know the reboot will happen in 2030 (if it ever happens), and if that happens, a lot of the kids aren't even born yet.
