Maurice White -- the founder and lead tenor vocalist for R&B band Earth, Wind, & Fire -- passed away yesterday at the age of 74. :\'(

Okay... This year has gotten off to a bad start all these singers, celebrities, and athletes just dropping like flies! :\'( :\'( :\'(
I REALLY hope Bret Hart and Blackjack Muliagn don't leave us this year! :\'(

Maurice had a truly great voice. There are two Earth, Wind and Fire tracks that will always in my favourites playlist. Boogie Wonderland and September. Great dance tunes (if only I had some rhythm).

Maurice had a truly great voice. There are two Earth, Wind and Fire tracks that will always in my favourites playlist. Boogie Wonderland and September. Great dance tunes (if only I had some rhythm).
He had a great singing voice, it was always wonderful to listen to and my all time favorite would have to be "Let's Groove". This video is absolutely amazing. :)

EWF is one of my favorite R&B bands, their music expressed so much optimism of the post-Age of Aquarius variety.
Maurice introduced the kalimba to R&B music and was interested in many different kinds of spirituality.
