Paul Prudhomme, the portly and legendary celebrity Louisiana chef, has passed away at the age of 76. :\'(

Mr. Prudhomme was responsible for introducing millions to Cajun cooking. I used to love watching his cooking shows and his tag line "I GuarOWNtee" in that thick Louisiana accent.

I remember him from his appearances on talk shows in the 70s and 80s. He was an upstanding kind of guy who was adept at his craft. The culinary Universe will surely miss him.
