Subject: Batgirl actress Yvonne Craig dies aged 78

Yvonne Craig, the actress best known for playing Batgirl in the 1960s Batman TV series, has died at the age of 78. A statement on her official website said the star had suffered from breast cancer, which had spread to her liver. She had been in chemo almost continuously for the past two plus years. This didn't dampen her sense of humour or her spirit
Family statement:
"In the end, her mind still wanted to fight but her body had given up," her family said in a statement.

Wow, that role was really cursed. First Eartha Kitt passed away and now Yvonne Craig.
After that show was over the cast members seemed to drop like flies. Riddler, Penguin, Joker, Mr. Freeze (at least two of them), Egg Head, Alfred, the Police Commissioner.
Fortunately Batman and Robin from the original series are still protecting Gotham City.

Eartha Kitt was Catwoman. Yvonne Craig was Batgirl. Two different roles.
