Beating Ric Flair in a match in '76.

I wish Dusty would have fought Bruno Sammartino, though.  It would have been nice seeing Bruno kick his ass.  ;D

You never watched him when he was in AWA and NWA!?

I know that I'm a young buck who was introduced to wrestling during the monday night wars when WWF and WCW competed head to head!! I was introduced to Dusty as a commentator for WCW and then went to TNA later before coming back to the WWE in 06! But I appreciate the old school type wrestling of the 70s and 80s! OK mainly 80s, but nevertheless I love to watch old school NWA matches and WWF rock n wrestling era matches!! Dusty Rhodes was one of the most iconic and large than life personas to ever step foot in the wrestling ring! His accent(which has been mimicked a BUNCH of times!) was an interesting quality about him! His feuds with the four horsemen in NWA and feuds with Ted Dibiasie in the WWF (when he was put in poka dots and was dancing around like a fool! 8-P ) were some of the biggest highlights of his career!!
I feel soooo bad for Goldust and Cody; losing their father!! :\'(  May God bless them and may he welcome him to the gates of heaven where he joins MANY of the deceased wrestlers of the past!
