Up and coming hip hop artist A$AP Yams (a.k.a. Stephen Rodriguez), one of the founders of the New York based rap and hip hop group A$AP Mob, has passed away at the age of 26.

Presently there has been no cause of death identified, but the authorities said they will make a determination as soon as possible.

Yams used to rap all the time about doing Xanax and Sizzurp (purple drank, lean, Texas tea). But bandmate ASAP Ant says that he did not overdose.

Apparently Yams' last "tweet" was a reference to codeine, the main ingredient in the purple drank. :-\\
