And so, Joan Rivers has met the sea. I hope she had made her peace with the Almighty, because you really don't want to start a posthumous conversation with him by asking, "Can we talk?"
While celebrities across America are heartbroken, I am sure no one in the fashion world is, and that makes her passing that much sadder. Would anyone seriously want to be remembered for everything negative they said about something as trivial as a person's clothes? I trust people will recall the ground she broke for comediennes through the decades more than the constant trashing of what's tres chic.
My heart goes out to Melissa and any other family she had, as well as whoever has her to thank for their career.
Your Pal,
Doc

I have been waiting for this news all week. As sad as her passing is, she did live a long and very prosperous life. I was never really a fan of hers nor did I dislike her. She chipped off a bit of the glass ceiling for women in the comic world. I felt really bad for her when her husband committed suicide but she bounced back. (That which does not break you make you stronger.)
My heart goes out to Melissa & their entire family.

Nope. She's too busy helping Barf pay off Pizza the Hutt. Plus Johnny's probably busy enough with Robin.
Goodbye, Virgin Alarm.

The family of Joan Rivers has settled its legal case against a medical clinic in New York which it blamed for the comedian's death in 2014.
Rivers died days after she suffered a cardiac arrest while undergoing a procedure to examine her throat at the Yorkville Endoscopy centre.
Her family had claimed the clinic performed unauthorised procedures and failed to take appropriate action when her vital signs weakened.
They also alleged doctors snapped a selfie with Rivers while she was unconscious.
The family said it was pleased with the settlement but did not reveal the amount of compensation.
Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, said the settlement allows her to "put the legal aspects of my mother's death behind me and ensure that those culpable for her death have accepted responsibility for their actions quickly and without equivocation'.'
In a statement, the Yorkville clinic said:
"Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the Rivers family. We remain committed to providing quality, compassionate healthcare services that meet the needs of our patients, their families and the community."
