Subject: Celebrities In Which His/Her Exact Cause Of Death Is Under Dispute.
Written By: c_keenan2001@hotmail.com on 05/18/14 at 11:10 pm
When I think of this I think about Jim Morrison whom today we still don't know how he died? Some say it was a heart attack and some say it was a drug overdose.
How ever he died it's a fact that he wasn't taking very good care of himself one way or the other.
Kurt Cobain's death has been called into question too. The coroner ruled his death was a suicide but some are saying that somebody killed him and used a suicide to cover it up. I mean that's the most f---ed up thing I ever heard. :P

Some say Morrison still lives and that his grave at Pere Lachaise is empty. Maybe we need a thread for"deaths which themselves are fisputef". ???

One death dispute that made me particularly angry was Platinum Blonde bass player Kenny MacLean. Before the an autopsy had been done media outlets in Canada had begun reporting that he died of a drug overdose. :P But then it was revealed that he actually had died of a massive heart attack. So here we go with another musical urban myth that another celebrity child has to explain. I mean Kenny's son shouldn't have to explain to anyone how his father died. All he knows is that his father had heart issues and he wasn't taking particularly good care of himself.

Cass Elliott originally the coroner had thought that she died choking on a ham sandwich but she actually died of a heart attack. I can't imagine what her daughter had to go through trying to explain that her mother didn't choke to death but she died of a heart attack.

My mother told me Cass Elliott died from choking on a ham sandwich. People believed it. My mom wasn't being mean, she just thought that's what happened. Actually, there was no food in Mama Cass' windpipe. Allegedly there was a partially eaten ham sandwich in her room.
Elliot struggled with obesity. In the last year of her life gained and lost and gained again a great deal of weight. That strained her heart and killed her at 32 years old. Anyway, even if she did die of choking on a ham sandwich, would that be funny or something?

Here's one -- Not so much a mystery how, but who. Jam Master Jay (Jason William Mizell) of Run D-MC died of a gunshot wound in 2002. He was in a recording studio in New York City, yet, nobody has ever been brought to justice for the shooting. There are suspects, but after twelve years, hopes are dim. Jay was 37.

Christopher Marlowe was an English dramatist, poet and translator of the Elizabethan era. Marlowe was the foremost Elizabethan tragedian of his day. A warrant was issued for Marlowe's arrest on 18 May 1593. No reason was given for it, though it was thought to be connected to allegations of blasphemy—a manuscript believed to have been written by Marlowe was said to contain "vile heretical conceipts". On 20 May he was brought to the court to attend upon the Privy Council for questioning. There is no record of their having met that day, however, and he was commanded to attend upon them each day thereafter until "licensed to the contrary." Ten days later, he was stabbed to death by Ingram Frizer. Whether the stabbing was connected to his arrest has never been resolved

She was probably too distraught to talk about it.

Well, I hardly think that at 7 years old she could really grieve for her mother properly. :(

At around midnight on the night of 2–3 July 1969, Brian Jones (of Rolling Stones fame) was discovered motionless at the bottom of his swimming pool at Cotchford Farm. His Swedish girlfriend, Anna Wohlin, was convinced Jones was alive when he was taken out of the pool insisting he still had a pulse. However, by the time the doctors arrived it was too late and he was pronounced dead. The coroner's report stated "death by misadventure" and noted his liver and heart were heavily enlarged by drug and alcohol abuse.

There's an urban legend that goes way back to the 1970s, in fact in my middle school and high school, that he was killed by Jagger. Urband legend though.

The death of Bobby Fuller, who would have been 68 today, remains among the more perplexing mysteries in rock-n-roll lore. We take a look back at his life and career.
Born Robert Gaston Fuller on October 22, 1942, in Baytown, Texas, Fuller grew up as a big fan of another Texas musician named Buddy Holly. He played in numerous bands with his younger brother Randy and even built his own primitive backyard recording studio. In 1961 they began releasing singles through New Mexico-based Yucca Records, and their efforts charted on local radio stations in El Paso.
Fuller and his brother moved to Los Angeles and reformed the band. In 1964, The Bobby Fuller Four were signed by Mustang Records in a deal put together by Bob Keane, who’d also worked with Ritchie Valens and would later put out records by artists like The Surfaris and Frank Zappa.
The band was a bit of a throwback. While the British Invasion and Motown dominated the airwaves, The Bobby Fuller Four played what was basically 1950s style rock, inspired by the likes of Little Richard, Eddie Cochran and the Everly Brothers. Still, the group managed to chart with “Let Her Dance” in 1966. In a bizarre promotional turn, they appeared in the movie The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini, starring Nancy Sinatra and Boris Karloff, where they lip-synched two songs by another band.
Their biggest hit came with “I Fought The Law.” Though Fuller is most closely associated with the song, it was actually written by Sonny Curtis and first recorded by The Crickets after Buddy Holly had died (Curtis also wrote the theme from The Mary Tyler Moore Show). Today “I Fought the Law” has become a punk rock staple, being covered by The Clash, The Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, Social Distortion and Green Day. The version recorded by The Clash was recently included on the popular Rock Band video game .
But Fuller wouldn’t live long enough to reap many benefits from the song’s success.
On July 18th, 1966, he was found dead inside his car at the age of 23. The L.A. County Coroner's report said, “Deceased was found lying face down in front seat of car–a gas can, 1/3 full, cover open–windows were all rolled up & doors shut, not locked–keys not in ignition." He had multiple bruises on his arms and shoulders and his body was soaked with gasoline. Other witnesses report that one of his fingers was broken. Fuller’s death was first ruled a suicide, but three months later, the medical examiner changed the cause of death to “accidental asphyxiation.” Positing, in other words, that he had somehow accidentally drowned himself in gasoline.
The investigation was botched from the start – the crime scene left unsecured, no fingerprints taken from the gasoline can found in the car. Many believed Fuller had been murdered and the perpetrator/s had fled just as they were about to torch his car to destroy the evidence. A partner of Bob Keane reputedly had mob connections, and the record company was involved in payola scams (to be fair, so was nearly everyone else in the business). There was also the matter of a large life insurance policy allegedly taken out on Bobby Fuller by this same record company investor. Another theory was that Fuller had gone to an LSD party (he’d recently started experimenting with the drug) and an accident had befallen him. Worried they’d be held responsible (and busted for drugs to boot), partygoers drove him back to his apartment and left his body in the car. There has even been speculation that Charles Manson was involved.
The Bobby Fuller Four guitarist Jim Reese told an interviewer that four days after Bobby died, three armed men came to his apartment looking for him. The next day, Reese and drummer Dalton Powell fled to El Paso, taking along a loaded pistol just in case.
With scant physical evidence, no clear leads and so much time gone by, it's doubtful we’ll ever know what really happened. We’re left to wonder what other great music Bobby Fuller might have brought into the world had he not been taken from it that July night 44 years ago.

Edgar Allen Poe?
From wiki:
"On October 3, 1849, Poe was found on the streets of Baltimore delirious, "in great distress, and... in need of immediate assistance", according to the man who found him, Joseph W. Walker. He was taken to the Washington Medical College, where he died on Sunday, October 7, 1849, at 5:00 in the morning. Poe was never coherent long enough to explain how he came to be in his dire condition, and, oddly, was wearing clothes that were not his own. Poe is said to have repeatedly called out the name "Reynolds" on the night before his death, though it is unclear to whom he was referring. Some sources say Poe's final words were "Lord help my poor soul." All medical records, including his death certificate, have been lost. Newspapers at the time reported Poe's death as "congestion of the brain" or "cerebral inflammation", common euphemisms for deaths from disreputable causes such as alcoholism. The actual cause of death remains a mystery. Speculation has included delirium tremens, heart disease, epilepsy, syphilis, meningeal inflammation, cholera and rabies."

Jimmy Hoffa - Disappeared in 1975. His body was never found
From wiki:
"Hoffa disappeared at, or sometime after, 2:45 pm on July 30, 1975, from the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox Restaurant at 6676 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township, an affluent suburb of Detroit. According to what he had told others, he believed he was to meet there with two Mafia leaders: Anthony Giacalone and Anthony Provenzano. Provenzano was also a union leader with the Teamsters in New Jersey, and had earlier been quite close to Hoffa. Provenzano was a national vice-president with IBT from 1961, Hoffa's second term as Teamsters' president.
When Hoffa did not return home that evening, his wife reported him missing. Police found Hoffa's dark green 1974 Pontiac Grand Ville, unlocked, at the restaurant, but there was no sign of Hoffa or any indication of what happened to him. Extensive investigations into the disappearance began immediately, and continued over the next several years by several law enforcement groups, including the FBI. The investigations did not conclusively determine Hoffa's fate. For their part, Giacalone and Provenzano were found not to have been near the restaurant that afternoon, and each denied they had scheduled a meeting with Hoffa.
Hoffa was declared legally dead in 1982, on the seventh anniversary of his disappearance, when he would have been aged 69. His disappearance gave rise to many rumors and theories."

Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan.
They disappeared from public view on 2 July 1937 after taking off in their plane from New Guinea; "declared dead in absentia" in early 1939. To this day, no one knows how they officially died.

Joseph Force Crater (January 5, 1889 – disappeared August 6, 1930) was a 41-year-old New York City judge who vanished while out on a night on the town. He was last seen leaving a restaurant on West 45th Street, and entered popular culture of the 1930s as the "The Missingest Man in New York." Despite massive publicity, no trace of him was ever found, and nine years later he was declared legally dead. The disappearance added to public disquiet about corruption in city government and was a factor in the downfall of the Tammany Hall political machine.
