Nash the slash was a Canadian musician, well known in Canada during the late 70s and 80s was with the band FM ... Their most famous song is Phasors on stun... Also had a solo career after he left the band.

Nash has performed with surgical bandages covering his face since 1979. "During a gig at The Edge in the late '70s to raise awareness of the threat from the Three Mile Island disaster, he walked on stage wearing bandages dipped in phosphorus paint and exclaimed: 'Look, this is what happens to you.' The bandages became his trademark.

From 1977-1980, FM released 4 albums before calling it quits. Nash was a founding member of the group, but only present for the 1st album that featured Phasors on Stun. Despite much radio play, no singles from these 4 albums were chart hits.
Nash re-formed FM in 1983 and from 1985-1988, charted 5 singles in Canada, the biggest of which was 'Just Like You' which became their only Top 40 hit. Note: The song heard on the car radio in the video is 'Phasors on Stun' ...

Their last hit came in 1988 with 'Magic (In Your Eyes)'. I really like this one alot ...
