Subject: Jang Song Thaek, uncle to Kim Jong-Un, executed in North Korea
Written By: Doc Brown on 12/12/13 at 5:39 pm
The evil premier of NK called his uncle a traitor to the state and 'worse than a dog', due to charges of: Corruption, drug use, gambling, womanizing, and squandering money. My abysmal opinion of Jong-Un has dropped even lower. Here in America, we would have looked at Thaek and thought,
"He's not a criminal, he's a CONGRESSMAN"!
Our idiot liberal government better not still be sending them money or food.

Not too far off!
Still, this guy clearly lived a lifestyle that was too Western for his despot nephew's liking, so his murder shows just how deep Kim Jong-Un hates values like freedom and democracy.

Umm, no. They all live like that.
What happened was that the uncle was a political ally of Jong-Un's dad, and that made him a potential rival. When you're in power and you have something on everybody, you can use that knowledge to selectively enforce the law on your rivals, thereby securing your hold on power. It works the same way in any government.
