Lee Dorman was found dead at the age of 70. Without Lee, Doug Ingle's 17-minute song may never have been called "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida."
Now Iron Butterfly has TWO dead bass players. Only half of the In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida lineup is still alive: singer and organist Doug Ingle, and legendary drummer Ron Bushy. Guitarist Erik Brann died in 2003.
Lee Dorman was also in Captain Beyond.

I'll be playing my "Iron Butterfly's Greatest Hits" tape all day today in commemoration.
I was always hoping for those guys to do a comeback album. :-\\

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, a great tune. The 17 minute version, not the 2 minute and change they play on AM radio.
