I find it hard to believe that an 95 year-old actor died "before his time". But a sad loss nonethless. May Herbert Lom laugh in Heaven.

Herbert Lom was in scores of pictures, but Inspector Dreyfus is the character we'll all remember.  I remember the first time I ever laughed until I could not breathe was watching The Pink Panther Strikes Again at the second-run theater.

He was great actor.  Loved him in the Pink Panther movies.  I also know him well from the 1985 remake of King Solomon's Mines starring Richard Chamberlain and Sharon Stone.
