those were, if I recall correctly, imaginings of the future....like on the simpsons when they show Bart, Lisa and Maggie all grown up... it's happened in a few eps but mostly they just stay the same age!

that's what I said howard....in the few instances where the kids were aged it was glimpses, imaginings, fantasy, predictions, glimmers, pieces of the future but 99.9% of the time the kids stayed the same age.

-wait, what?  Backstory here is that Bill Griffith (of Zippy the Pinhead fame) tipped his hat to Family Circus a few times, and Bil finally returned the favor.

I always preferred the parodies (this particularly poignant Nietzsche Family Circus sums it up) to the originals, but much respect to Bil, who was in real life much funnier than his overly-syndicated comic made him out to be.
