Roberts Blossom died at age 87. He was one of my favorite characters in Home Alone. :\'( RIP

I remember when he fought off the bad guys in order to save MacCaulay Kulkin.

I remember when he fought off the bad guys in order to save MacCaulay Kulkin.
Me too. He was the next-door neighbor to the Mcallisters. At first, Kevin was scared of him, but after talking to him in church, Kevin finds out that he's a very nice guy (and assures that any alleged rumors about him are completely false)... and later knocks out the bad guys to save Kevin from their harm. He also takes to heart, Kevin's advice about contacting an estranged family member.
Sad to see him go.
