Elizabeth Taylor -- Another screen legend gone.

I will remember her best as Martha the lush in one of my favorite movies,
"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" (1966)

I can't say that I am a BIG fan but I do recognize her talent.
The world has lost a legend.

I heard about this on the news this morning. Such a sad loss, indeed. :\'( :\'( I knew she'd been in poor health for a while, and was treated for congestive heart failure...so sad to see her go. And she was a true legend indeed, having been widely known for a good part of her life.

That was an excellent pic to post. It was Taylor at her best. She personified the Hollywood glamour actress. Brains, beauty and talent...What a lethal combination! Yet, she was continually looking for love.... :-\\
Certainly one of my top 5 most beautiful actresses of all time (in her prime).

She wanted to be "fashionably late" as she had been in life.

I have always liked Tennessee Williams a fair bit and Elizabeth's roles in Hot Tin Roof and Suddenly Last Summer helped bring Williams' words to life. That will always be her contribution in my mind.

At least she was smart enough to let go of the black hair. She enhanced the gray that came naturally with age and there isn't anything wrong with that.
