Former Surrey and England bowler Peter Loader has died aged 81.
Loader played 13 Tests for England, taking their first post-war hat-trick, and helped Surrey to seven consecutive County Championships between 1952-58.
He took 1,326 first-class wickets at an average of 19.04 and 39 in Tests at 22.51.
"Peter Loader was one of Surrey's great sons and his death is a real loss to the club," said Surrey's chairman Richard Thompson.
"He was part of a dynasty whose impact will always be felt at Surrey and his contribution to that incredible side was enormous.
He added: "It's very sad whenever any of the club's famous sons passes away but particularly one who has made such a big contribution."
Loader, who took 100 wickets in a season seven times, was born in London but moved to Australia following his retirement.
In July 1957 Loader took England's first post-war hat-trick during the fourth Test against West Indies at Headingley. He performed the feat in the first innings in which he claimed 6-36, his only five-wicket Test haul.
