Written By: LyricBoy on 02/28/11 at 6:24 pm
Pinup bombshell Jane Russell, known as much for her awesome movies as for her steamy relationship with billionaire and aviation pioneer Howard Hughes, passed away today at the age of 89.
RIP Jane, thanks for the memories... :)

Think they'll bury her in an 18-hour bra? At my young age, those ads are all I ever saw her in.
Did I miss any good movies? RIP, Miss Russel.
Your Pal,
Doc

Subject: Jane Russell passes on

We have lost another Hollywood legend. Jane Russell, 89, passed away yesterday. She died on Monday in her home in Santa Maria, California, reportedly from respitory problems following a cold. She made her famous -- or infamous -- debut in the Howard Hughes produced film "The Outlaw," a film about Billy the Kid. The film was completed in 1941 but was delayed until 1946 because of censorship problems and the way Russell's assets (a 38D-24-36 figure) were presented to the audience. Russell moved on from dramatic work to comedy and may have given her most memorable and defining performance in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" with Marilyn Monroe. This musical number below, "Ain't There Anyone Here For Love," allowed her to display her sense of fun and humor as she winds her way through a maze of hunky men who all ignore her.
R.I.P. Jane :\'(
