Subject: Cold Chisel drummer passes away

drummer Steve Prestwich has passed away of a brain tumor at the age of 56, was a founding member of the iconic aussie band that also included Ian Moss, famous for his solo hits after the break up of the band and of course for the lead singer Jimmy Barnes.

Cold Chisel was Australia's greatest rock band! I still can't believe they didn't make it overseas. I guess Barnesy was a little to Aussie (for a Scotsman)! ;)

I reckon some people should have a listen to cold chisel,big aussie band with great success, along the likes of ACDC, Midnight Oil, crowded house and Inxs just to name a few, really quite a good band.
Ill start off with a popular song,probably not their most famous song but definitely one that alot of people would put in their top 10 chisel songs of all time:

...diagnosed with a brain tumour less than two weeks ago :o :(
Also Harvey James from Sherbet passed away on the same day from lung cancer :( :( :( - (the band) is best known for this one:

Oh wow...I hadn't heard about Harvey James. :o Yes, Chisel, Sherbert, Skyhooks, ACDC, Hush, Ted Mulry Gang, Dragon, Split Enz, and the Angels were the popular bands in those days. There were more ... but these bands featured heavily on Countdown! Ahhh... those were the days... ::)

Cold Chisel didn't make noise North America, but Jimmy Barnes did have a few minor hits. Anyone who say 'The Lost Boys' will know 'Good Times' featuring INXS

I know them best as The Sherbs and the single 'I Have the Skill' which I quite enjoy
