-- A local hotel worker found the bassist dead this morning. Paul Grey, known as #2, or "The Pig" in the self-titled years, the lively bassist from Los Angeles who relocated with family to Des Moines and joined Slipknot and has played for the entire Slipknot career up to this point. Paul had a darker side to his life, dealing with drugs and alcohol abuse, and then getting married and expecting a child with his wife, Brenna, later this year. R.I.P :\'(

They are performing the autopsy today. I know he and his wife were expecting their first child.

Me neither, but it's a shame that one of their members had to die so young. :\'(

According to reports, medical examiners have found no sign of foul play or significant trauma during the autopsy of Paul Gray, which we understand took place yesterday.
The autopsy did show that Gray had been dead for several hours before his body was discovered by hotel staff. The cause of death is still under investigation and will not be determined until toxicology results are available, which could take up to six weeks.
Witnesses have reported items from the hotel room were taken away by police for examination.
