Former Secretary of State Alexander Haig, who served Republican presidents and ran for the office himself, has died.
The Haig family says he died Saturday at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore from complications associated with an infection. He was 85.

I kinda thought so too...but I guess he lived a real long time!

His political career died long ago. If you were too whacky for the Reagan Administration, you were definitely too whacky for public service. He did try to run for prez in '92. I remember him doing a photo op at an Iowa farm. Farmer handed him a piglet so the press could snap his pic, and the piglet took a big dump all over Al!
