Subject: British fashion designer Alexander McQueen

British fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home on Thursday, his spokeswoman said. He was 40 years old.
No cause has been given, but it is not being treated as suspicious.

Just heard this on the radio.
From the BBC
"A statement said his family were "devastated" at the "tragic news", and added that they shared "a sense of shock and grief".
In a message on his Twitter page on 3 February, Mr McQueen said his mother had passed away."

I was totally shocked when I found out he'd died. The news broke when I was at the gym last week because the main gym area has nine flatscreen TV screens; each one showing a different channel. One of them shows Sky News, and that's when I found out that Alexander McQueen was found dead. It was announced today that he hanged himself in a wardrobe and left a suicide note. Last night, triple Brit award winner Lady Gaga dedicated her performance at the ceremony to him.
RIP Alexander. Your quirky fashion designs inspired millions.
