Not unexpected, but sad nevertheless.

A sad day for a family that has suffered so much throughout the years.

I am from Massachusetts.  I think, somewhere, we didn't believe this day would come.  :\'( :\'(

Sad news but then again, its like a homegoing.... We all knew he wasnt well for quite sometime and I wish all the best for his family and friends.

Sad to hear of Ted's passing, especially since Eunice Shriver passed away only a few weeks ago. My thoughts are with the surviving Kennedy family members...

This leaves Jean Kennedy Smith as the only member of Joe  and Rose's family to not be victim to the Kennedy Curse.  :-\\

Look, Chappaquiddick may have hurt Teddy, Molestations may have hurt Michael Jackson, and Stereotyping High Schoolers may have hurt John Hughes...but leave them alone!

I had to learn the hard way by being opinionated, but if I have to give you a personal letter to you...I'll have to. But when someone dies (even the ones we don't appreciate) we should show a little more respect than this!

I discussed Senator Kennedy on the Legacy thread.

I was watching the tube in the wee hours of the morning when the sad news came over the wire.  I did not expect Teddy to see the end of the year.  He was so terribly ill.  However, it made me heartsick to hear that he had left us.

Like all humans, Teddy had his faults, but unlike some, his good works, his honesty, his hard work, and his sincerity far out weigh them.  He will be miss.  RIP Teddy.

I went to the Kennedy Library this morning.  The sheer number of people is fantastic, and the fact that it is a cross section of what America is.  A moving tribute.

My thoughts and prayers, go out to his friends and family.

He is now up there with John, John Jr., and Bobby, in a better place.

What a sendoff! I'm loving it.  The haters are having Kennedy Love shoved down there throats knowing that when their time comes there funeral will be a duty performed, and this is anything but.  I got to say the the reception along the streets of DC and on the capitol steps surprised me.
