Subject: Oz Munchkin Mickey Carroll dies

Actor Mickey Carroll, one of the last surviving Munchkins from the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, has died aged 89.
A statement posted on his website said the star, who would have turned 90 in July, had "passed away peacefully after a period of declining health".
He had suffered from heart problems and received a pacemaker in February.
In the movie Carroll escorted Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) to the Emerald City and said the famous line: "Follow the yellow brick road."
In 2007 he told news agency The Associated Press that the Munchkins only made only $125 (£82) a week while filming the movie that went to become a classic.
That same year Carroll and six other surviving Munchkins received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Wizard of Oz was Carroll's only movie.
When it appeared on TV in the 1960s, he found a new career, appearing at charitable and Oz-related events.
"It's not me, it's the movie," he once said. "When they see me, they think of their childhood, and it makes them smile."

Gosh. I remember that guy. That is truly sad.
Is everyone who starred in the film deceased, or is someone left?

Get this...The ENQUIRER showed a photo of 'what they labeled' Mickey in 2007 holding a lollipop then commented how in his latest photo with grey hair, he sure got old!
DUH...THE GUY WITH THE LOLLIPOP WA NOT MICKEY! IT IS JERRY MARIN...NO WONDER!!
Will they print a correction?

89 is pretty old for a dwarf, though. They don't tend to live that long.
