Paul Harvey, who served as a radio newscaster for a good part of his life (including a long stint on the ABC radio network), has just passed away at age 90.

Harvey was one of the last of the old-time radio personalities with his "And now..you know..the rest...of the story!" and "Paaaul Harvey...gooood-day!"
Paul Harvey related to you the way he related to your grandfather...which often sounded hokey to you, but normal to grandpa! Never mind his politics, Paul Harvey was one of the last of his kind, a kind virtually extinct in today's media!

I'll miss Paul's "News and Comment" segments. The radio station I work at is an ABC affiliate, so it's carried Paul Harvey for eons. I'm not sure what the network plans to with the feature, now that its namesake has gone to the Great Studio in the Sky. If they pull the plug on it, 11:45 just won't be the same again.
