Subject: Edna Parker, 115, dies
Written By: Bobo on 11/27/08 at 7:15 am
Edna Parker, born in Shelbyville, Indiana, recognized as the world's oldest living person, has died at the age of 115.
Parker became Indiana's oldest-ever resident at the age of 113 years, 300 days.
I read statistics a while ago that only one in every two billion people actually makes it to the age of 115. I wonder whether this is still the case.

Maria de Jesus of Portugal, who was born September 10, 1893, is now the world’s oldest living person, according to the Gerontology Research Group. Parker was less than five months older than De Jesus.
The phenomenon of the supercentenniarian is becoming so frequent that the world record is measured in months or days, not years!
