Subject: American record producer Jerry Wexler, 91, dies

Record producer Jerry Wexler has died at the age of 91. Wexler, a member of the Rock'n'Roll hall of fame, was responsible for the signing and/or upkeep of artists such as Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, Bob Dylan, and more.
Wexler, who was also a writer and editor of Billboard Magazine, coined the term rhythm'n'blues, and he worked with artists such as Ray Charles and the Drifters. In his later production career, he would go on to produce an early version of "Careless Whisper" by George Michael.
