Famous Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley dies of cancer.
His illness came a month before the star was due to take to the stage again with a new band. He died at home in Heath Hayes last night after succumbing to cancer of the oesophagus. Figures in the music industry today paid tribute to the musician, who made his name with Whitesnake, Trapeze and Finders Keepers.

I see he played on one of my favorite's "Slide It In" by Whitesnake..RIP Mel :\'(

He was 60? Man, I didn't know he was that old. R.I.P. to a great musician. Their 1987 ST was a great piece of work!
