so where 'is' Dave Clark..the namesake of the band if Mike was the lead?
Normally to be found behind the drum kit...counting his wealth!
Very sad to hear about Mike, but such was his injury of a few years back, it was always going to be an uphill struggle for him to regain any kind of fitness...RIP

Dave Clark was responsible for the West End musical Time back in 1986, but nothing else has been heard from him since.

I missed the news about Mike Smith. I'm saddened at the news of his passing, and from what I just read, the Dave Clark 5 is being inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on March 10th & he's gone only a few weeks before the upcoming ceremony. double sadness :\'(
Here's a cool fact: by 1966, the band had made 12 appearances on "The Ed Sullivan Show," then a record for any British group.
