Subject: Fortunes singer Rod Allen dies at 63

Rod Allen, lead singer of The Fortunes, has died aged 63 after battling liver cancer, it has been announced.
The harmony group's biggest hit was You've Got Your Troubles which was a UK number two hit in 1965, also reaching number seven in the US.
The band's website paid tribute to the "wonderful voice and sparkling personality" of their founding member.
Allen, who is survived by his wife and two children, died peacefully at his home in Coventry, the website added.

Besides "You've Got Your Troubles" from the mid 60's, the Fortunes had a sizeable early 70's U.S. hit called "Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again".

Yes, I did like the Fortunes hits too. All there top 10 UK hits ....
'You've got your troubles'; 'Here it comes again'; < (my favourite) Freedom come, freedom go'; and 'Storm in a teacup'.
Really nice harmonies, good lead vocalist. Never knew his name, till now. :(

Oh yes, .... 'Here Comes that rainy day feeling again'. Strangely, didn't chart in the UK (!??!), ... got a fair bit of airplay .... and ... seems it made US #15. I like it about equally with 'Here it comes again' !
