Southern Rapper Pimp C, who along with partner Bun B made it big in Jay-Z's video, "Big Pimpin'," passed away yesterday.
Half of the rap duo UGK, he is also noted for having released the album "Underground Kingz" whilst in prison
RIP, Pimp... :(

I feel terrible. I live about 50 miles from "Pimp C"'s home town and I had never heard of him. :( It's a sad thing. 33 is really too young.

I believe he was a friend of another deceased southern rapper named Big Hawk, whose song "Chillin' with my broad" I am a big fan of. He was shot in Houston somewhere at night. Sad. But it's the lifestyle.
