Robert Goulet was an American expatriate in Canada. All the time he lived in Canada, he never got citizenship, and apparently at the time of his death, he was in the process of acquiring this. As far as Canada is concerned, he was Canadian. I always knew him to be

I was so sad when I heard about Robert Goulet. I loved him on the Carol Burnett show and his Diamonds Almonds commercial was one of my favorites of all time. (At three o clock, when your energy is running low, Robery Goulet comes and messes with your things...)
I miss you Mr. Goulet. :\'(
