Subject: Diana, Princess of Wales

Today is the 10th anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales is being marked with services across the UK.
Princes William and Harry will lead readings for their mother at Guards' Chapel, near Buckingham Palace.
Prince Charles and the Queen will be at the service, although Charles's second wife Camilla will not be attending.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Sir Elton John, who sang at Diana's funeral, will also pay their respects.

I hope there isn't going to be a "Candle in the Wind '07". I don't think I can take another 3 years of that song :\'(

The 10th anniversary was a garish display of mawkish celebrity worship. These tabloid-types make no distinction between Lady Diana and JonBenet Ramsey.
I did feel sad for William and Harry. The death of one's mother is a universal kind of grief, whether your last name is Smith or Windsor.

Come 2017, there will be a 20th anniversary of her passing and the 30th anniversary in 2027. It probably won't ever end ::)

It will far to much then, we should commit her to memory. nothing wrong with the family remembering, but the majority of the mourners at the funeral service back in 1997 had never met her.
