Just heard on the radio, the comedy actor best know for playing Mr Humphries in Are You Being Served has sadly died.
I will post more when more info is available.

I had to google what he looked like, and upon seeing his face, I do remember him from "Are You Being Served". A very sad loss to the acting world :\'(

It was, in those days, a brave move to cast such an openly-flamboyant character in a prime-time sitcom, but John carried if off wonderfully...

I saw him on stage in Aladdin as a pantomime dame, he had that character to prefection.

I loved him in Are You Being Served. This is so sad. :(

I knew him, Mr. Lucas!
Whether 'tis sadder to miss his open-handedness concerning gay behavior, or to miss his quips and witticisms...
